Kieran's Irish Pub Quiz:
Bring in your team of up to 5 friends, enjoy a pint, have an appetizer, and use your noggin against teams trying to outsmart you and our quizmaster. If you get the answers wrong, who cares, the beer still tastes good. Our quizmaster Adam Coolong and scorekeeper Whitney Gale are currently thinking up questions to stump you. Are you up for the challenge?
Traditional Irish Music Session:
Wednesday nights we are the proud hosts of a traditional Irish music session. It starts about 9:00pm and goes until the tunes run out. Bring your instrument or just come and listen. Either way it’s a great part of the Irish tradition right here in Minnesota.
Raking Through Books (Happy Hour Book Club):
The second Tuesday of each month The Happy Hour Book Club is scheduled from 5:30 - 7 p.m. We generally socialize for the first 15 minutes or so. We frequently do a little 'Lit Trivia" or related game to loosen up, and then eventually discuss the book. Some club meetings have author appearances. For more information go to www.rakemag.com.
Poetry Slam:
Sign ups start when the doors open at 7:30pm, the show starts at 8:00pm. There is a $5 cover charge if you are not performing. Judges are picked from the audience. The top 3 poets win prizes. Full menu is available during the slams. Visit www.slammn.org for rules and schedule. Send email questions to slamminnesota@yahoo.com. Slam takes place the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month.
Five Minutes Of Fame (Open Mic):
Kieran's Open Mic is called Five Minutes of Fame and is hosted by Wonder Dave. Sign up starts at 8:30pm and the open mic starts at 9pm and goes until 11pm. You have 5 minutes to perform anything you want (music, poetry, comedy, etc). The cost is $1. The audience's favorite performer at the end of the night wins prizes. Five Minutes Of Fame takes place every Tuesday night there is not a Poetry Slam.

Sports
Most of our sports coverage at Kieran's has moved down the street to our sister pub The Local.
The Local has signed to Premier League and Irish international football games.. They also have exclusive coverage of the EPL games each weekend on Saturday's at 9 am and Sunday's at 10 am. There is a membership scheme for both of these series of games. Membership cards will be made available to guests that come in for games.
