Irish Brigade - 3/5/10

A consummate stage performer Mike has been happy to spend his time on stage with such great performers as Peter Yeates, Steve Mulligan, Joe Burk, Noel Hill, Paddy O’Brien, Larry Nugent, Gerry Goodwin, Sean Conway and Darren Crossey. Joe's outstanding vocals combined with his mastery of a wide range of instruments makes him a great performer to watch and listen to. He is a native son of Minnesota but has Irish music in his blood and has been playing most of his life. You can hear the influence of the likes of The Beatles, The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners, Rory Gallaher, Stan Rogers and many more as you listen to this great duet so don’t miss your chance to see them live.

Block E Grand Opening March 16th - Wild Colonial Bhoys 5pm-9pm

Tuesday, March 16: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Wild Colonial Bhoys; They aren't from Ireland. Nor do they claim to be. But with their impressive musicality, their blistering live shows, and their ability to connect with crowds all over the nation, they have forged their own unique sound within contemporary Celtic rock music. Eschewing the straight up punk sound favored by so many within the genre, The Bhoys are an aggressive mix of harder-edged rock and Irish influences. As Paddyrock Radio says, the best way to describe their sound is to take the Young Dubliners, The Elders, Carbon Leaf and Great Big Sea, mix them up in a blender, and you'd have a Wild Colonial Bhoys smoothie!
