The MTV's 9/4/15

Friday, September 4: 9:00pm
The MTVs are the live show equivalent of MTV’s golden age. A tribute to a time when MTV actually played music videos. The MTVs cover a mix of all genres, 60s-today, with an emphasis on 80′s and 90′s music. Forget the reality shows, The MTVs heavily incorporate each audience into the show with ad-lib songs, video projections, comedy, and crowd-involving dedications. Dubbed the dueling pianos with guitars, The MTVs will be the best blast from the past you’ve ever experienced.

Wild Colonial Bhoys 9/5/15

Saturday, September 5: 9:00pm
Twin Cities-based Celtic rock powerhouse Wild Colonial Bhoys have just celebrated their 10th anniversary as a band. Whether playing festivals and touring as their five-piece, guitar and fiddle-driven rock lineup or as the acoustic guitar duo that started their career, the Bhoys have successfully forged their own niche within the Irish/Celtic musical genre. To describe their sound, do as Paddyrock.com suggests and “take the Young Dubliners, The Elders, Carbon Leaf, Great Big Sea and put them in a blender…you’d have a Wild Colonial Bhoys smoothie!” Ten years, five albums and thousands of miles have transformed the Bhoys from a local favorite to a Celtic rock tour-de-force. With their innate musicianship and inspired live performances it’s easy to see why Wild Colonial Bhoys have become one of the best Celtic rock bands in the Midwest.

St Dominic's Trio 9/25/15

Friday, September 25: 9pm
Since forming in 2002, St Dominic’s Trio has performed hundreds of shows, telling nearly half a dozen jokes in the process. Several people have noticed that drummer Dave Haugen looks a bit like Gary Busey, and they confess that it's a big reason why they keep coming back. An offshoot of the Minneapolis Van Morrison cover band The Belfast Cowboys, St Dominic's Trio's CD "Switch" features the full horn section of Belfast Cowboys, and was produced by Rich Mattson. Available at CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon.
