SlamMN! Erotica Tournament 2016

The Erotica Slam was born over 20 years ago at SlamMN! and has now matured into a full time adult of an event. Word Sprout is squishy with delight to announce that the Erotica Slams have become so popular that it has now become a three day long tournament on dirty delights! Join us in our third year of a full blown tournament!

Up to 26 poets will compete in preliminary bouts on Friday and Saturday evenings and the top 5 poets from each preliminary bout will advance to the Finals night explosion of words.

Join us one night, or all three. Every night will be a completely different rockin' of the love boat.

The Sweet Colleens 2/20/16

The Sweet Colleens are Jeremy Greenhouse, Pete Sandvik, Dave Bade, Rich Larson, and Wolf Loescher — accomplished multi-instrumentalists who together fuse their diverse musical backgrounds into a high-energy, infectious, and crowd-pleasing mix of “fiddle-infused, accordion-fueled, celti-cajun folk pop.” With rootsy original songs, warm vocal harmonies, and fiery instrumental arrangements, the Twin Cities-based Sweet Colleens are winning fans across the country.

St Dominic's Trio 2/26/16

Since forming in 2002, St Dominic’s Trio has performed hundreds of shows, telling nearly half a dozen jokes in the process. Several people have noticed that drummer Dave Haugen looks a bit like Gary Busey, and they confess that it's a big reason why they keep coming back. An offshoot of the Minneapolis Van Morrison cover band The Belfast Cowboys, St Dominic's Trio's CD "Switch" features the full horn section of Belfast Cowboys, and was produced by Rich Mattson. Available at CD Baby, iTunes, and Amazon.
