The Teddy Holidays 4/25/15

The Teddy Holidays have been playing their brand of rock and roll around the Twin Cities for years. In June 2010 the Teds celebrated the release of their 'Arctic' EP. Since then the band has continued to expand its repertoire of original music, as well as cover songs from a wide variety of their favorite bands.

The lead singer of Cold Comfort is here to take us on a journey. Tales of misspent adventure, lost friends & honest poetic observations on the way we live. The band, itself, has cultivated a dedicated cult following and their music has been described as “a cocktail of blues, rock & roll and country’. Their influences range from Neil Young and The Velvet Underground to Rory Gallagher, but go beyond these influences to create an eclectic sound scape.

Elliott is a multi-talented artist hailing from Minneapolis, MN. This 26-yr “old soul” has proven he should be a big part of the music scene. Incredible vocal range, mesmerizing melodies, and a style that blends groove and soul, with roots and americana. Elliott also works with Eric Hutchinson acting as his musical director.

Pat McCurdy 5/8/15

Pat McCurdy is a cabaret singer/songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He regularly tours the upper midwestern part of the United States with regular stops in Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago, Green Bay, and Minneapolis. His shows usually consist of just him and his guitar and include improvised interaction with the audience. While the majority of his audience is made up of a college-age crowd, McCurdy appeals to a large number of people of all ages. Performing well over 300 shows a year, his large catalog of original songs (over 600 and growing) covers a variety of topics such as lost loves, politics, family vacations, and how the world can't live without Sex & Beer.

Kingsview is a band for the people. Their goal is to create unique, fun and catchy tunes for their fans to enjoy! It is difficult to identify a comparable artist for Kingsview’s music due to the variety of styles played, but at times the influences of The Beatles, The Strokes, Jukebox the Ghost and Kings of Leon can be felt. The music will certainly keep the listener on their toes moving from acoustic ballads to driving, dance friendly rock to piano heavy, harmony-filled tunes.

Casual Confusion, quite simply, is a full-out explosion awaiting sufficient exposure. Headed up by extraordinary guitarist-singer-songwriter Colin Hodges with fluid bassist bass guitarist Mike "Haddy" Hayostek and slam-tight drummer Zach Dennison, they are to this era what The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Love were to the '70s -- powerhouse rock brandishing exciting music, inventive melody, strong lyrics and more crowd-rousing showmanship than the law probably allows.

Since forming in 2002, St Dominic’s Trio has performed hundreds of shows, telling nearly half a dozen jokes in the process. Several people have noticed that drummer Dave Haugen looks a bit like Gary Busey, and they confess that it's a big reason why they keep coming back. An offshoot of the Minneapolis Van Morrison cover band The Belfast Cowboys, St Dominic's Trio's CD "Switch" features the full horn section of Belfast Cowboys, and was produced by Rich Mattson. The Sweet Colleens are Jeremy Greenhouse, Pete Sandvik, Dave Bade, Rich Larson, and Wolf Loescher — accomplished multi-instrumentalists who together fuse their diverse musical backgrounds into a high-energy, infectious, and crowd-pleasing mix of “fiddle-infused, accordion-fueled, celti-cajun folk pop.” With rootsy original songs, warm vocal harmonies, and fiery instrumental arrangements, the Twin Cities-based Sweet Colleens are winning fans across the country.

Root City is a funky blues band based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band combines the well crafted music of Alex Rossi(Guitar-Vocals) with jumping high energy Funk and R&B covers. Formed by Alex in 1998, they have continued to evolve in sound and style. Originally a blues trio, Root City has developed into a multi-genre group incorporating a full horn section and the vocal skills of the Minneapolis beatboxer ‘Heatbox’.
